Janes publishes several yearbooks covering different aspects of defense and security. The Janes Fighting Ships Yearbook is the world’s most comprehensive open-source naval reference, offering detailed insights into global naval platforms. This annual publication provides critical data for military, security, and commercial sectors, supporting industry research, threat assessments, and market analysis.

As part of the design and production team, I am responsible for the layout and visual presentation of the yearbook, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and a professional design standard. This includes:

  • Structuring 4,500+ ship profiles with technical specifications, photographs, and silhouettes.
  • Organising 23,000+ vessels across 170 countries into an accessible format.
  • Presenting executive summaries, system upgrades, and modernisation programs with clear, engaging layouts.
  • Ensuring consistent branding and typography while maintaining readability across complex data tables and infographics.
  • Collaborating with editors and analysts to validate content accuracy. By combining structured information design with aesthetic precision, the Janes Fighting Ships Yearbook remains an indispensable reference for maritime professionals worldwide.
